Chief chic.
Last year, Opening Ceremony gave us a worth-nothing but not necessarily worth-buying Pendleton x Timberland collaboration. There was something off about the shoe—maybe it was the inexplicable rolled down ankle cuff—that ultimately kept me away even though it went on crazy discount sale a month back.
Dr. Martens, in an effort to attract that same Native American wannabe demographic*, is collaborating on a Pendleton boot available for Winter 2012. I haven’t figured out which one I like better: the maroon one pictured to the left, or the black and grey version seen here. It’s also questionable whether the Pendleton trend is on it’s way out or not considering the fact that Urban Outfitters has gotten it’s trend-destroying hands all over it.**
*Guilty!

I am Jewish. And I love shoes. Which qualifies me as the designator of the Chosen Shoes.
